subsidies-installing-electrical-charging-stations

We are experiencing a major electric expansion in the Spanish car fleet, which is why public charging stations are becoming increasingly necessary. Today we want to tell you how you can access subsidies in 2023 to install charging stations for electric vehicles from your company, getting the best conditions by working with Floox.

These subsidies and grants can be received by all those who wish to install an electric vehicle charging station in their business: electric filling stations, transport fleets, car parks and commercial premises. We have prepared a battery of common questions that can help you find out more about the MOVES III Plan for this new year.

Everything you need to know about the MOVES III Plan in 2023

The MOVES III Plan was launched in 2021, when the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge earmarked 800 million euros to both incentivise the purchase of electrified vehicles and the installation of charging stations.

During 2022, this package of measures was extended with 235 million euros, with the idea of promoting the growth of the electric charging station network in our country. And now, in 2023, we will see a new extension of 400 million euros for the purchase of electric vehicles, reaching 1.2 billion euros. In addition, another 500 million euros will be earmarked for the installation of self-consumption structures.

These grants will be available at least until 31 December 2023, so we will answer any questions you may have.

Who can benefit from the MOVES III Plan?

Among the possible beneficiaries of this subsidy are natural persons, communities of owners and legal entities, as well as other entities whose NIF number begins with one of the following letters: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, J, R, or W.

The following are also eligible for this aid: Entidades de Conservación de Polígonos or Sociedades Agrarias de Transformación, whose tax identification number begins with V, local authorities or the public sector.

What percentage of the installation does the MOVES III plan subsidise?

The installation of an electric vehicle charging station is subsidised up to 80% of the cost for individuals, the self-employed and entities without economic activity, although there are different variables. The breakdown is as follows:

  • Individuals, self-employed, communities of owners and entities without economic activity: 70% If the installations are carried out in municipalities of less than 5,000 inhabitants: 80% If the installations are carried out in municipalities of less than 5,000 inhabitants: 80%.
  • Companies and public entities that install a public access charging station for electric vehicles with a power of more than 50kW: 35% o If the installations are carried out in municipalities with less than 5,000 inhabitants: 40% o If the bill is made by a medium-sized company: +10% o If the bill is made by a small company: +20% o If the bill is made by a small company: +20% o If the bill is made by a medium-sized company: +10%.
  • Companies or public entities with economic activity that install a private or public charging station for electric vehicles with a power of less than 50 kW: 30%. If the installations are carried out in municipalities with less than 5,000 inhabitants: 40%

What does the MOVES III Plan grant for companies cover?

Eligible costs include the charging station itself, the legalisation and documentation of the installation, the necessary protections, civil works and the costs of project management and engineering. The total is always calculated taking into account the amount of the project excluding VAT.

What is the grant ceiling for projects for installation in enterprises?

It should be noted that the grant limit for each dossier is €800,000 for companies, administrations and homeowners’ associations.

How to apply for the MOVES III Plan?

The beneficiary will be responsible for implementing the management of these subsidies. It is important to bear in mind that, in order for the subsidies to be granted to companies, it is necessary to apply for the MOVES III Plan before the installation is carried out.

The charging stations for electric vehicles that we offer at Floox

Powerfloox

It’s the least powerful model we have at Floox, but that doesn’t mean it’s not efficient. It is a 30 kW DC fast charging system and works with CCS2 and CHAdeMO connectors.

Without the need for a large infrastructure and with low maintenance costs, you can install charging stations in your establishment for the benefit of your visitors.

Therefore, we recommend Powerfloox for businesses where customers are going to spend time indoors. It is also ideal for the parking of workshops or commercial fleets.

Superfloox

Capable of charging up to three vehicles simultaneously (60 kW DC and an optional third 22 kW AC hose), the Superfloox is the perfect model to provide you with a versatile solution for everyone.

We recommend these chargers for charging stations, car dealers, delivery fleets and PoR operators, as they offer a high capacity fast charging format.

Ultrafloox

Our most advanced model is the Ultrafloox, with simultaneous capacity for two vehicles and the possibility of operating with 90, 120, 150 or 180 kW of direct current. It works through a fast and intelligent system; ready for the future of electric vehicles.

Like Superfloox, the system is designed for charging stations, distributors, delivery fleets and PoR operators. This is a perfect way to provide a solution to all the needs that arise when we have electric vehicles that require ultra-fast charging.

We hope that, through everything we have outlined here, you are a little clearer on how the 2023 subsidies for installing charging stations for electric vehicles will work. It is an ideal time to offer a new service to your customers and thus make a huge profit while promoting sustainable mobility.
